About this list
Most chess teaching in Munich happens inside the clubs. A Jugendtraining usually fills the hour or two before the adults' club evening on the same day: Schachclub Sendling, Schachgesellschaft Schwabing München Nord, TSV Solln and the Garching, Dachau and Haar clubs work that way, and TSV Forstenried divides its Thursday between children, young people and adults. Schach-Klub Freising and Schachklub Germering keep Saturday afternoons for their young players.
Beyond the clubs, the Münchener Schachakademie near the Isartor offers holiday courses for children, courses for adults and lessons in schools or online, and the Caissa Center lists courses beside its tournaments. The district's youth championships and the school chess championships are filed here as well, because for many children they are the first tournament.
