The sports club Rot-Weiß Klettham-Erding has a chess section with its own page on the club's site: adults meet on Mondays from 19:30 for a play and training evening, children and young players train on Saturdays from 10:30 to 12:00, and the section takes its juniors to youth tournaments in and around Erding and Munich. The tournament server prints the club label "RW Klettham-Erding" in the participant list of the Regionales Kinderschachturnier U8 of Schachfreunde München on 15 March 2025, and "RW Klettham" and "RW Klettham SAB" in the U8 and U10 lists of the 34th Garchinger Jugend-Open of 14 May 2026, one junior in each. The club house is at Flurstr. 5 in Erding, where the city portal lists the club.
